Rosetta Stone

Napoleon Bonaparte organiced civilians to go to invade Great Britains colonies. They examined very important monuments, but the most important found was "The Rosetta Stone". The called it like that because it was found in a city known as Rosetta. It weigh 762 kg. , 114cm in high and 28cm of thikness. It had a text written in 3 languages: Ancient Greek, Demotic and hieroglyphic. All Cientists work hard to desifrate the hieroglyphics, The British gain possesion of the stone and put it in a British Museum. An French called Jean François Champollion continued investigating and finally he couls read the hieroglifics. And thanks to him now every one can understand hierogliphics.
